Multi-Sport Racing Triathalons and Adventure Racing have been sweeping the nation at a phenomenal rate. Multi-Sport Racing is one of the few sports where just completing a race is often considered a victory. Learn all about this sport, post photos, meet potential teammates or brag about your performance in a race.

Question

I was wondering what you considered to be a good adventure racing WO? I have always been into adventure sports but have never done an adventure race. I recently have started weightlifting but I was wondering if there was a specific WO geared towards adventure racing.

Other than just getting out and running, biking and canoeing, one of the best things I have learned from veteran racers is to have at least one day, maybe more, where as soon as you get off work on a Friday, take off on a run/bike/canoe/whatever, and do it until 8am the following morning. This is good especially for learning to make it through the difficult 3am to 6am lull that most mortals experience. It is good training for mental toughness!
