Default Finished First Tri

So I'm now officially a triathlete. Finished in 1:04, which was 4 minutes slower than my goal, but hey I didn't drown. My swim sucked, guess I just panicked. It felt like I was swimming lower than normal, so every time I went for air I got a mouth full of water. I tried to slwo down and get my form back, but by that time I was just out of it. Luckily it was a pool swim so I used the turns to take a breather. I'll be back in the pool and keep working at it. In a few weeks I'm going to try to start practicing open water swims. That will be interesting.

Aside from the pathetic swim, everything else went well.

OUTSTANDING!

Finish a triathlon, you're a triathlete for a year. Finish an Ironman, you're an Ironman for life.

I'll be sticking with the shorted distance tri's for a while. There is no way I have enough free time time to train for an Ironman.
