Default Plans for this Season

My first triathlon is quickly approaching, and I was curious to what everyone else has planned for this year. This will be my first year and I'm just learning to swim so I'll be doing all sprint distances. Next year I may go for Olympic if I keep having fun with it.

Trideltathon Sprint Triathlon - April 19
Swim 400 meters, Bike 6 miles, Run 3 miles

Wet Dog Triathlon - July 11
Swim ¼ mile, Bike 9.3 miles, Run 3.1 miles

Hiwaay Huntsville Sprint Triathlon - August 15
Run 3 miles, Bike 6 miles, Swim 400 meters

I'm a little late to the party... but I'll play!

I've done one 5 Miler and one 5k so far. Next up:

Broadlands Sprint - 400m swim, 12mi bike, 3.2mi run - June 7
NJ State Olympic Tri - 1500m swim, 23mi bike, 6.2mi run - July 26
VA Beach Rock N Roll Half Marathon - Sept 6
Army 10 Miler - October 4

Considering a full mary in Feb 2010 but haven't signed up yet.

I've done one sprint so far, got another sprint end of july, mid august got a half marathon, mid august doing my half Ironman (Yeah baby!), then september have another sprint. Not sure for the rest of the year.

Training hard for the half ironman and just doing the other races as training sessions.

I'm more then alittle obsessed with this tri thing.

ok i am also late to the party. i fell off my training with the move to japan so i have been out of things for a while. i have no real excuse. just got lazy and out of shape.

but i did finally start training again. i have been doing 5 k races every couple of weeks and have been steadily getting my time back. i found a triathlon group here and i will be joining them this week.

so far aside from the 5k's which are really just for fun i have signed up for a 27 k run in november at lake kawaguchi and i am going to do tokyo marathon in march. i am hoping to get back into good enough shape to do ironman japan in june but that plan is extremely tentative. i am already training for it but it will depend on where i am in my training in a couple of months. if i am not amking the progress i need to or if it is taking too long to get my run back for these other races then IM will wait til 2011. its a shame i let myself get out of shape. there are a lot of really good tri's here. they also do things like 10k open water swims from island to island. i would like to give that a try before i move back to the US.

Those OWS sound cool! I wish there was more of that in my neck of the woods.
