I'm alive and had a good race. Right now, I'm going to go have a margie and some dinner with Sarah and Aaron. Race report is coming soon!

Eric, you are a machine!! A mechanical Rockstar! Yeah, that's the ticket.

Congratulations on a great race. Any one of those events would have consumed us mortals. The bike ride sounded enticing...."fast, smooth pavement"... does it get any better than that?!?

Enjoy your recovery time. You've earned it.

Many would have folded it in when you got into that run. Sounds so awesome. I'm E-jealous.

Dude, you are totally a F#%#ing ROCKSTAR!!!

Way to kick that leg sucker out the back on the swim. Nicely done.Regarding the buoys--there's this technique called sighting. You should "look" into it.

If there's one picture we NEED to see, it's mom with the cowbell! Your bike is out of control. Speed is awesome, especially over that distance with no drafting. OUTSTANDING work my friend.

The run--Aaron has great advice: Run faster, NOICE. Way to totally man up on the run--cramps are no picnic. You find out what you're really made of out there. You're made of some really incredible stuff, my friend.

Well done. Go get yourself a beer and relax by a nice cool pool.

Here is a link to the Race day photos - Sarah and Aaron also took some good ones, so I'll get those up soon too.

I've got no mom cowbell pic (although I can vouch for it), here are a couple I got. Seeing as how I SUCK as a photographer, you guys will just have to deal. You really ripped it Eric; congrats. And thanks for showing us a great time, you and Ellie ROCK!!!

Looking strong after the swim & NOT BREATHING when starting on the bike

clipped in and racing off & finishing the bike leg

looking strong and happy on the run & glad to be finishing

Full size pics in my Picasa album.

I have no idea why I'm smiling in the run photo there. That's heading out onto the run. Maybe it's, "Do I really have to run 13.1 miles now? REALLY?!?!?!"

Thanks for taking those pics amigo, they look great.
