Default This will be on the list next year...

This would be the bomb! It is like the Jay Challenge in Vermont but now I don't have to spring for airfare. I know these trails. Awesome!

The 3 Modes of Off-Road is a 3-day staged adventure consisting of paddling on Friday, mountain biking on Saturday and trail running on Sunday! Don't want to do all three? You can race one stage if you'd like! Whatever you decide, you will want to train hard for this race if you decide to go for the long course! Prizes to winners of each race and the grand prize, the 3 Modes Champion, goes to the racer with the fastest time of the three races combined!

Paddling: Decide between kayaking or canoeing on Friday morning. Paddle for ~ 30 miles for the long course, or ~ 15 miles for the short course.

Mountain Biking: Get out on the trail and ride! Long course will be ~ 60 miles, and the short course is ~ 30 miles, most of which will be on singletrack trails!

Trail Running: Choose between the trail marathon for the long course or the half-marathon for the short course!
* Exact distances are to-be-determined and will be updated soon.

Where: Near Mt. Ida, AR
* Race H.Q. is to-be-determined and will be updated soon.

When: May 18-20, 2007

Format: The 3 Modes of Off-Road is open to individuals as well as teams!

I like the website name "Bonkhard"!

This does sound like fun...and scary! I've never done an adventure race.

Bonkhard is a great adventure racing company that does a lot of stuff in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas. Lisa and I did a race done by them kind of before they started the company. 75 miles in December. Tough race!
