Default Not Again!!! PQ on hold!

I don't know if the sport can take much more of this...I think they have to quit trying to move it around.

In the brief release, organizers indicated that the race status is currently "on hold," bringing more uncertainty to the future of a sport whose landscape recently has changed as often as the score of a basketball game.
The expedition races that brought notoriety to the sport, the Eco Challenge and the Raid Galoises, both have escaped into the ether. The Primal Quest ("PQ") brought hope, at least to domestic athletes, that the expedition-style race was still alive. But that has now changed.
Last year's event, held in the hot desert climate around Moab, Utah, challenged teams to their limits over a 5-10 day period. Rumors had swirled that the 2007 version of the race might be held in Central or South America.
The full text of the release is below.
"Our sincere apologies for not officially communicating with everyone sooner regarding the status of the next Primal Quest Expedition Adventure Race.
Since the conclusion of Primal Quest Utah, we have been diligently trying to make arrangements to enable the race to take place in 2007 and beyond. As you know, PQ is a complex undertaking that requires substantial planning, financing and partnerships in order to maintain the high quality standard that PQ is known for. We realize placing the event on hold affects the racing community to a great degree, but please know we are continuing to explore every option in staging the expedition in the future and appreciate all the input we've received.
On behalf of our entire team, we sincerely appreciate your support and wish you success in the upcoming racing season."
