Durable indeed, this thing is definitely a tank despite being relatively light. It will definitely be enough to get through my first race anyway.

My first REAL bike was a Schwinn--red and fast.

I've been riding a 1989 Cannondale SR800 road bike for the last 7 years. It is old school no carbon, all alluminum with the shifters on the down tube. I paid $350 for it on ebay. It still rocks.

They still want money....plus, they try and I like the attention! Damn, I've only bought four bikes from them all already plus another from one of their employees. I was very close to buying an Orbea Line brand new from a friend who got it at an auction. I could have had it for $650 with Shimo 105's. Very nice bike so if I can turn that down, I must not be ready.

I did get new tires for the season for the old cannondale. They are blue and kinda match my bike. That will make it go faster! right?

No. red tires, like red bikes, are fastest...

I do live - I've been busy lately so I just make sure I post my runs. But now that I FINALLY have joined the 21st century and subscribed to internet at home - and got a day off work - I'm here!! Yay!
