Danelle is one of the top adventure racers in the world. A very tough woman.

"The two-time adventure racing world champion and elite triathlete, trail runner and mountain biker slipped on a patch of ice on Hurrah Pass and tumbled off three successive rock faces of 10 to 20 feet each. "
Um... OUCH!

That is an amazing dog!
My sister had a golden retriever mix named "Taz," too, but her Taz was female, and I don't think she's quite that smart.

I just listed to a podcast with an interview with one of "Nelle's" friends. She seems to be in low spirits (professional adventure racers don't have a lot of money or insurance). She will be out for at least a year and has tons of expenses.
Here is her website: http://www.trainingrx.com/commnelle/

Freaking amazing. Dogs are incredible animals, and really take the personalities of their owners. This dog is just as hardcore as her owner.
