Default Thank goodness it is outdoor season

Yippee...it is outdoor pool season....I love swim training in the open air.

I guess that is all I had to say, except I regret being off here for the past month, now I have to catch up on everything.

Our pool is outdoors all year - even in the snow. It sucks swimming with snow falling on your back. A wee bit chilly!

Seriously?? I have never heard of that. Still I would probably enjoy it too, as long as the pool is of the heated kind.

Yeah, it's a ski town too. Figure they'd put a roof up - but yeah, snow, rain, whatever --- outside...

It's kind of alright, try jumping in a 69 degree "heated" pool when it's snowing. Wakes you up in the morning for sure.

Dude..I am a pretty hardcore swimmer, but the minute I saw 69 degrees, I have to ask why you would go in? That is wetsuit temp. to me...but then again I am a wimp.

okay nevermind why you do it, I just saw you log on training for your HIM..Way to go. you are a frigging animal.....damn.

Martin..I do not know how you do it man 69 degrees with snow falling??? YIkes!!!!!...I was in the pool yesterday and the air temp was about 73, the water was a helluva a lot warmer, and I was freezing, as were the rest of my team. In fact we started dropping our pace times just so we didn't have to stand around in the pool shivering.

Granted there was a lot of wind, making us feel colder then it actually was (The pool is about 6 stories off the ground, along the Lake Ontario shoreline in Toronto.)

69? That's warm. As a kid, I used to swim into 50 - 60 degree water in summer. The Atlantic ocean never really gets warm . It sure does cool you off during the heat waves.

OG is correct...

Hockey is our official WINTER sport.....

Our official summer sport is Lacrosse....which is just like hockey with grass and running shoes instead of Ice and Skates...

Well...after the cross check..we will usually say "I'm Sorry"

reminds me of the joke...

"How do you get a Canadian to apologize."

Step on their foot. :p

Thank you...I am here all week!!!

Dang, raging in here!!!

Yeah, it's pretty frickin cold in the water, that's one of the reasons I dread the swim sometimes. But I usually just high tail it to the sauna from the pool and warm up in there. I'm really going to complain for a second about losing body fat -- it kept me so warm for a while there. I freeze like a little girl now, both in the pool and out, since I've dropped some weight. Sorry, whining over...
