...is up at my blog. Thanks so much for all of your encouragement. Still figuring out what's next.

Good on you for finishing despite the pain, hopefully it was nothing serious. Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever. Still glad I had no serious pain, already my brain has decided that I easily finished my course and didn't work hard enough. Stupid brain.

How many athletes did you have in the event?

Thanks for the link to my report!

Lance! That was written on the back of the event t-shirt.

FYI...

TOTAL TIME: 1.48.07 (up from 1.42.50 last year, but there was an extra 2 miles and a hill on the bike)
Note: Numbers do not include those who DNF (Did not Finish)
Overall Place: 297/498
Place by Age: 41/57 (which I don’t think is bad, since I’m 39, racing in the 35-39 category...though I'd like to be stronger, next year!)
Place by Sex: 239/342

Me too!

But I used a jet ski and a powered scooter.

I pity da fool who don't lurn from Fish's tale of tenacity, hydration, partial drowning and eventual victory.

Great job Fish - the race report is brilliant. Ah, linguine legs, worst and best thing ever. I can feel you on the grocery store thing. We'll go for a beer after most races, and that contrast is incredible. People inhaling pizza, burgers, and fries (oh, and beer), and it's just sad.

Great race, good work on the run. I could actually feel myself running right there with you.

Sorry I didn't get to this yesterday, away from the computer all day.
