USA victory for Yukon Arctic Ultra
Andrew Matulonis from USA has won the 320 mile distance of the Yukon Arctic Ultra 320 mile race. His finishing time is yet to be confirmed but is thought to be some 15 hours quicker than that of Andrew Barnett who won the foot division of the race in under 150 hours in 2004.
According to reports, Start Gillet from the Uk is in second place, followed closely by Bruce Thompson from the USA.
All other runners have left McCabe and the field is looking strong. Fernand Marechal from Belgium is currently bringing up the rear, not surprising after his unfortunate detour yesterday.
Weather conditions continue to range between -10 daytime and -20 at night.
