I was thinking about taking on Wing Chun or Wu Shu.

What made you decide on these styles?

Well this would be my first time taking a martial art, well except when I was little I took TKD for a little while, but due to money issues I stopped.

Wing Chun I like, because I feel like if I was ever, God forbid, in a fight it would be one of the more practical to know.

I also think Wu Shu would be a good starting point.

I am also interested in a Wu Mei school near me which, I feel would be a good fit as well..

Having a school close to home is definitely a plus. As far as a fighting style..well...that arguement goes back a long way and can open up a HUGE can-o-worms. I've always just viewed my training as more of a physical & mental workout. Honestly, I'm glad I spent my time (& money) doing it. If you want to ask some hardcore MA questions, here's a forum that I frequent with a ton of knowledge... Karate Korner
Best of luck!
