Default Becoming a yoga instructor

Is anyone here a yoga instructor? I have been practicing for 6 years and I have been interested in becoming a teacher for awhile, but have not found a place I really clicked with until recently. I am just looking for some feedback or insight about teaching yoga. Thanks!

here's the webpage for one of my previous instructors. There used to be info somewhere about her certifying institution. If there isn't anymore, I'm sure she'd answer a question.

This is assuming you want that kind of "real" certification versus what some gyms offer…

I have a Yoga Fit certification. It's slightly better than gym-yoga, and (I think) is well-regarded by fitness centers. Probably not so much, by yoga studios. I liked my certification courses because they were focused more on kinesthiology and movement patterns than the spiritual side of yoga, which, to me, is too personal to "teach" in a certification course.

I have had many instructors certified at Kripalu in Lenox Massachussetts. I have also been there for programs and their "stuff" is generally excellent.

Everyone's gonna recommend what they know, as will I. ;-)

Jimmy Barkan. Hot yoga (without the Bikram dictates) and vinyasa flow with extremely devoted and enthusiastic instructors that come out of it. I'm taught by them every day.
