Default Mind/body- you don't have to dig deep.

Every time someone says mind body connection. People start talking about yoga, meditation, etc. What about a basic lift or a basic push up up. If you concentrate on the exercise, so that nothing else matters. You have a pretty good mind body experience. I think that's pretty good for most people. Having to stare at the bar and let it levitate, with your hands being lifted by it, maybe more then what most people need.

You're right. All meditation is is being present in the moment. There does not need to be waves lapping at the shore, incense, or transcendental experiences. It's just being, period. Noticing, really.

So, yes, exercise can very much be a form of meditation. I often find it that way. For that time, I am doing what I'm doing, and nothing else. Not worrying about bills or my schedule. I pay attention to how it feels, sounds, even smells.
