Default UFC 101 - Penn-Florian and Silva-Griffin

Thoughts?

Main:
B.J. Penn vs. Kenny Florian (155)
Anderson Silva vs. Forrest Griffin (205)
Amir Sadollah vs. Johny Hendricks (170)
Ricardo Almeida vs. Kendall Grove (185)
Josh Neer vs. Kurt Pellegrino (155)
Undercard:
Aaron Riley vs. Shane Nelson (155)
Tamdan McCrory vs. John Howard (170)
Thales Leites vs. Alessio Sakara (185)
Matt Riddle vs. Dan Cramer (170)
George Sotiropoulos vs. George Roop (155)
Danillo Villefort vs. Jesse Lennox (170)

With boundless optimism, I'm picking (cough) hoping for a Florian win and a Griffin win. Also Sadollah, Grove, Neer, McCrory, Leites. Undecided about the others at this point.

If BJ's strength & conditioning program is as stupid as the videos have been hinting then I'm looking for Florian to embarrass him. BJ's got so much talent though, it'll be a good fight.

Silva too good for Forrest, if he brings it.

I'm leaning toward BJ, but I think Ken will put up a better fight than most seem to think. with BJ's latest bs accusing GSP of juicing based on "he doesn't get fat between fights like my fatass" I would love to see him get 'Bisping'd.

Forrest is tough and has heart. Anderson will eat it, still beating.

Not the end result I was hoping for, but it was still a helluva run Kenny had!

1. Really enjoyed this card, despite getting every single pick wrong. So many good fights: especially liked Almeida-Grove and Riley-Nelson.
2. Wouldn't mind if Silva stayed at 205 for awhile...
3. Thought the Sadollah fight was stopped a bit too early.
4. Want to see Aaron Riley fight again soon.
5. That Hendricks beard reminds me of Andre Arlovski.
6. Looking forward to WEC 42 tonight.

Damn Anderson Silva! He was just scary good!

Machida vs. Silva would be the fight of the year.

Too bad for Kenny. Ian needs to start training that guy.

As soon as that right hook landed - when they were still (barely) on their feet, I said it out loud: "F*cker is done!" Haha. I don't dislike Torres or anything, but that was a pretty awesome series of hits Bowles delivered.

Then it was the old "Hmm, he's no longer even trying to defend his face...!"
