Default New LHW Champ

But we have to wait until May 23rd until Machida takes the UFC LHW belt.

Good to see a karateka representing.

I absolutely LOVE Lyoto!! His style is amazing...it's a thing of beauty to watch.

It'll be an interesting match. I don't think Rashad really gets the respect that he deserves and it's going to be a lot tougher fight than most people are thinking. I'm not sure either of them have faced top level competition consistently. Right now I'm going with sugar for the "upset".

As long as Lyoto keeps finishing people like he did Thiago I hope he gets the belt and keeps it for a long time.

Rashad has better speed IMO. Good to come from that.

I read that Lyoto was considered boring. Stupid.

Machida will do a great job of keeping the belt warm for Rampage.

Machida is a counter striker, so he has been "boring" when faced off with less adventorous fighters.

Given that Evans isnt going to beat around the bush, Machida should have every chance to prove his worth.

All depends on Evans strategy in my eyes, personally, its a tough one, and think he will rely on his hand speed to catch Lyoto out.

Hmmm - no I'm gonna regret this but I'm going Machida by sub in the third or 4th!

Machida by sub is a good possibility. I'm guessing Lyoto will pick him apart on the feet, avoid the takedowns, and take Rashad down in a later round and sub him. If he doesn't KO him.

Quick and convincing victory for the new champ. I don't think Rampage is going to do any better
