Would probably help if you gave some more info. Do you have any idea what kind of martial art you'd like to learn? Why do you want to learn it? Why are you specifically looking for private instruction? What background do you have already?

For the majority of the time I'd say your better off with a small group class supplemented with private instruction, unless your fairly experienced already. You need to learn how working with a variety of people feels (short, small, strong, fast, slow, etc...).

I think people might be better able to help you if you are a tad more specific. Ex. BJJ, MUAY THAI??
