Default UFC 92 - Who Ya Got?

Post your picks and pontificating here.

I gotta go with Silva over Rampage via KO. It's hard to imagine with everything that's going on Rampage will be mentally and physically up to it.

Nog over Mir, naturally. Seriously, what can Mir do to him?

And Forrest over Rashad via decision. Forrest is big hairy man and loves a rough fight and I don't see Rashad KOing or outworking him. Who the hell knows though.

Gonna be a fun night watching it on our new LCD

Evans - I'm not sure Forrest can\will finish
Nog - No one in the UFC is going to beat him outside of some freak stoppage
Jackson - Wanderlei is a legend, I'm worried that he's just getting too old to fight like he fights

Nog 4th rnd...wait for it...knockout! (The magic power of Stankie!!!)
Wanderlei 2nd rnd knockout
Forrest by decision

Well that's what I reckon anyhow.... Can't be a sheep all the time

Nog, though I think its a pretty close fight. Nog is the better striker, but he's not a powerful striker, I don't think he can KO Mir. on the ground I think they neutralize each other. Mir's gas will be the biggest factor.

Wanderlei. tough one to pick. I think Rampage is a better fighter than before, certainly better boxing, but as Kuri said who knows where the guy is mentally.

Rashad. again, tough pick. Forrest is bigger and could pick him apart to a decision. on the ground Rashad has the wrestling and Forrest has the jits. Rashad clearly has speed and power on his side, I'm banking on that being the deciding factor. Forrest has been KO'd before and I'd bet Rashad has more KO power than Jardine.

I'm just getting worse and worse at this!

Haven't seen it yet.

Is Mir that much better or has Nog lost it?

A little bit of both. Mir's strikes didn't look that good, but Nog just didn't get anything going and kept getting knocked down. Surprise (disappointing) fight of the night.

I think Forrest might have hurt his knee at some point.

Saw the rampage fight - I'm chuffed! Rampage was spot on! His block counter was perfect to Wanderlei - someone had been watching tapes! And his delivery was perfect... Well deserved win! Wanderlei just hasn't moved on!

I was looking at the past!

I'm SO disappointed with the Griffin/Evans fight. I thought for sure Forrest would take him.

Take nothing away from Mir it was complete dominance and a very well thought out fight. I've become a Mir fan after that performance.

The bookies must have been loving UFC 92.
