Default Rampage vs. Forrest

Is only a few hours away. Who do you all like?

And is it true that Forrest pissed himself during the face off with Rampage at the weigh-ins? I read it on Sherdog so it's gotta be true

Haven't seen it yet but couldn't help checking the result. Did not expect that one to go the distance!

by the time the fight started I was bored out of my mind. I was thinking "this fight has to be fucking incredible to make up for this card"...it was.

Those fights didn't exactly have me on the edge of my seat.

Props to Forrest though and Randy, the man with the plan. It looks to me like Rampage didn't have a good night, but I'd like to watch it again without Rogan and Goldy's pathetic commentary.

I don't mind Rogan because he knows his stuff but Goldberg drives me insane sometimes. He is almost like the Madden of UFC, the king of stating the obvious. Every time Rampage landed a punch Goldberg said that Forest had been "rocked", even if it was more of a glancing blow.

I read that two of the judges gave the first round to Forrest - the round in which Rampage dropped Forrest. WTF??

They also gave another round to him (4th I think) that I think Rampage won (if you watch without that shitty commentary). Rampage got a takedown and clipped him good on the inside.

I here is my scoring of the bout
1- 10-9 Rampage
2- 10 -9 Forrest
3- 10-9 Forrest
4- 10-9 Rampage
5- 10-9 Forrest

I could see the fight going to either guy really. It was a BORING card i'm glad this fight didnt put me to sleep.

I scored it the same as you except I gave Forrest 10-8 for round 2. It was close though. I really don't see how two of those judges scored the 1st round for Forrest. That was ridiculous.

In all fairness, apart from that one punch - which despite the knockdown did not leave Forrest unable to defend himself - Forrest was all over him in round 1

This fight showed perfectly why they need a better defined method of scoring rounds. They need to move away from the boxing influence which doesn't have as many components to judge. It seems like more people are torn over this decision than any in recent memory and rightfully so.

I can see your point, but I still give rampage round 1.

I completely agree. This is why you never leave it to the judges.
