If UFC allowed knees to the head of a downed opponent?

Believe it's a no, but it depends on the fighting commission of where you are. For example, in Nevada it's a big no-no, but they were in Montreal last night.
I don't think I saw any knees to the head, I saw to the ribs though....Let's face it, Serra got DOMINATED!

Serra would be in a coma right now. Good win by GSP.
Starnes is the biggest panzy in MMA. Possibly followed by Lutter.

I thought I was watching the Tour Du France, so many guys on bicycles.
GSP's performance was so good it was nearly boring.

HAHA! I almost have to agree. I've watched it twice now, and it was almost like he was sparring an amateur who'd only been training for a few weeks.
Now, hats off to Serra for even getting in the cage with GSP and not picking up a spoon that had fallen on the floor and throwing his back out, but seriously it was quite ridiculous how much GSP dominated.

knees to the head of downed opponent are not allowed in any of the Canadian MMA events either (TKO, King of the Cage, etc).
Those knees to the ribs were brutal tho. GSP did say he was gonna bring something nobody has ever seen before... I guess that was it!

GSP dominated but damn Serra can take a punch (and a knee). I thought for sure he would have a broken rib after watching St. Pierre come down full weight into those knees.
