I was really disappointed in Shogun though. His conditioning was terrible and he looked soft. He did just get married and went on a honeymoon, but there is no excuse for coming into a fight in poor shape.
Forrest nailed it when he said it wasn't even a good choke but fatigue is a son of a bitch.
There are going to be some good LHW matchups in the coming year!

On another note, what is the future of Chuck Liddell? Another loss for him, is it time for him to retire? Maybe even the same could be said for Cro Cop as well.
Doesn't look like too many of these Pride/K-1 guys coming into UFC have done well at all, except for Rampage.

It's pretty safe to say that both sides are juicing. Nothing against Randy but there's a reason there aren't a lot of 40+ elite athletes hanging in there with guys 10-20 years younger.

either way its fucking amazing what he is doing, its not like athletes of all ages in other sports aren't juicing.
-Chuck Liddell: $500,000 (19th fight in UFC; lost to Keith Jardine; win bonus would have been $0)
-Keith Jardine: $14,000 (7th fight in UFC; defeated Chuck Liddell; includes win bonus of $7,000)
MAIN CARD FIGHTERS
-Mauricio Rua: $150,000 (1st fight in UFC; lost to Forrest Griffin; win bonus would have been $50,000)
-Lyoto Machida: $50,000 (3rd fight in UFC; defeated Kazuhiro Nakamura; includes win bonus of $25,000)
-Forrest Griffin: $44,000 (8th fight in UFC; defeated Mauricio Rua; includes win bonus of $22,000)
-Jon Fitch: $44,000 (7th fight in UFC; defeated Diego Sanchez; includes win bonus of $22,000)
-Tyson Griffin: $24,000 (4th fight in UFC; defeated Thiago Tavares; includes win bonus of $12,000)
-Diego Sanchez: $22,000 (8th fight in UFC; lost to Jon Fitch; win bonus would have been $22,000)
-Kazuhiro Nakamura: $20,000 (1st fight in UFC; lost to Lyoto Machida; win bonus would have been $6,000)
-Thiago Tavares: $9,000 (3rd fight in UFC; lost to Tyson Griffin; win bonus would have been $9,000)
Someone Get Jardine and Griffin new contracts post haste!
7K to fight Chuck in the main event? Are you fucking kidding me?
I bet Dana spends that much on a business dinner!
And what about the TUFers "six figure contracts" Dana was always talking about? Without the win bonus Forrest was getting 22K, as did Sanchez.

And Anderson Silva. We'll see how much of it is the fighters abilities vs getting used to a new environment in the next few fights.
Forrest easily deserved that win. Shogun did fine in the first round but losing the 2nd and getting choked out in the third due to such crappy conditioning is just inexcusable. I doubt it had anything to do with gear use though. Coming off using wouldn't explain gassing like that. It looks like (from his softness and gassing) he didn't train for a 15 minute fight. Stupid.
In related news, Wanderlei said on his website that since Liddell lost he wants to fight Forrest in his debut. They should make that happen.
Oh ya, why the hell did Dana say he doesn't want to sign Kang because he's "not a top guy" but then turn around and sign Nakamura? That makes zero sense. There are at least a dozen guys they should've signed before bringing in someone as lackluster as Nakamura.
