Default Joint locks and pure submission?

Hi guys
What are the good martial arts which focuses a lot on locks and submission? I am getting better and better with muay thai and would like to add something of the mentioned nature into my training. I was thinking BJJ but if you got any other suggestions?

Ash

BJJ/Submission wrestling is your best bet.
Judo and Sambo also have locks/subs as well.

I just started BJJ and its freaking great. Only did a few chokes and one armbar so far, but its great. Regular Ju Jitsu would be a good idea as well.

I'm not sure how it is in Malaysia but if you were in America your best bet would be some form of Jujitsu. BJJ, Judo and Sambo are all good for submissions and joint locks. Some kung fu styles have some good Chin Na moves that are similar. Catch wrestling would also be good if you can find a good instructor (too bad this isn't likely). You could also ask your Muay Thai instructor if he/she knows Muay Boran. The arts Muay Thai comes from does have joint locks and subs in it. My instructor taught me some. Unfortunately, most instructors don't know this stuff but hopefully yours does.

Muay Boran doesn't as far as I know. From my understanding Muay Boran is just an older less restricted version of Muay Thai. But it's been my experience that instructors who have knowledge of it know about the grappling aspect of Thai martial arts. And I couldn't remember what they call Thai grappling. Especially at 1:30 in the morning. lol
