lol
Looking forward to this....hope it goes as expected and we don't have one or the other turn up withouit their game faces on.
Happened way too often this year already...

It's really hard to pick. I've always been a fan of both fighters and they have the potential to beat each other equally. I'll go with Rampage but not by much. I'm guessing you're going with Rampage too?

How can you go against a guy that lists his style as "kick yo ass"
Though Chuck could just as easily win, and that's what makes this fight intriguing.

Rampage has always cracked me up. I thought it was funny on UFC All Access when he was talking and goes "Chuck didn't make a mistake. What's he gonna say, oops I tripped and fell into an ass whoopin'".

I think if Rampage will fight him he will win. The last few of Chucks fights that Ive seen its like his opponents are just trying not to get hit by that shot. It kind of reminds me of Hollyfield and Tyson. Everyone was scared of Tyson's knock out power, but when Hollyfield stood there and boxed him he beat him.

I totally agree. It's the same thing you'd do with Crocop. If you can't take them down (which is really hard with those two) then you have to push the pace and make them back up. I've always been strong standing but relatively weak on ground technique and I would much rather fight a guy that'll stand but back up rather than stand and come forward. That way I'm better able to set the distance and set up my strikes better. It's the same for most strikers. Of course, you can still hurt someone if you're backing up but it's harder to do.
The problem is that to push the pace you usually have to be a decent striker. A poor striker (a la Tito) has trouble pulling this off do it because you don't have to respect their striking. But for a guy like Rampage, who can hit as well as take a punch, it's probably the best strategy. It's no guarantee but the odds of winning are better than the alternative.

Well, I aint gonna be ordering any more UFC fights. Waste of money.
How so?
Granted a couple of the fights were a little short, but not every fight can run the full five rounds like RC-TS did. Unlike the WWE, one can't ask fighters to hold back and extend their bouts to fit the broadcast.
I thought both Burkman-Parisyan and Starnes-Leben were worthwhile. I don't mind if a couple of the bigger name fights end up being shorter than expected; it means they show more of the undercard (which I wish they'd show in its entirety every time - would it be such a big deal to tag it on to the end of the broadcast for those of us who like the sport and don't come in just for the main event?). Thomas-Stephens bout, for example, was a fun one to watch. So was Jardine-Alexander, even though it was super-short and didn't end the way I'd hoped.
Actually, the only fight I really detested this year was Koschek-Sanchez in UFC69. But even that card had the unexpected delight of Huerta-Garcia.
He looked scared of him the whole time and then complained when Big John stopped it?

I thought tonight's event was great. Even without a spectacular card it was one of the best UFC"s I've seen in a while. There was some good skill shown tonight as well (like Parisyan).
I'm glad Rampage won. I like Chuck. I've always been a fan and he's a great fighter but the talk about him was just getting out of hand. He's strong against wrestlers but he has trouble with good strikers. I don't know how much longer I could take the "Chuck would beat Fedor" type nonsense out there.
Just please please please get rid of Leben!

Rampage seemed to be getting frustrated at the fact that Chuck wouldn't fight him. I also love the flat on the ground, not defending himself, taking punches to the head, and then coming up like "Why did you stop it? It was all part of my strategy."

You're absolutely right, Rampage is an awesome athlete, and Chuck got caught. But IT STILL SUCKS!!! Purely because I don't like Rampage. Just my opinion.

That depends. Are you tough? Just be gentle. I'm fragile. lol
Sure, let's do it. JP can promote it. We can have Kuri be the announcer. Getgot and Irish can be the commentators. I might even come out to Billy Jean (hey, it worked for Terry Martin lol).
Actually I think I'd come out to For Whom The Bell Tolls. I always thought that would be a great entrance song.

What's not to like about Rampage though? It's great to see a fighter that doesn't take himself too seriously.
But as for the Terry Martin fight weren't those punches to the back of the head illegal?
