I can't tell you how shocked I was sitting there live at Pride 33 when Sokoudjou, a relative unknown, KO'd Rogerio Nogueira, who has excellent boxing skills, in about 30 seconds.
Then in yesterday's Pride he faced Ricardo Arona and well... check out that takedown defense.
I wanna see this guy get in there with Shogun or Chuck.

The guy is fast becoming one of my favorite fighters.
When he KO'd Lil Nog I told my friends he didn't seem like a fluke and I got flak for it. But I figure, what are the odds a guy comes in and in his first fight in Pride wins so easily against a skilled opponent as a fluke? So I was glad when he beat Arona. I don't think he's as good as he looks beating both of them so easily (if he is he'll be a longtime LHW champ soon) but he's certainly for real. One more win and he should definitely get a title shot.
