Default UFC 69: Serra's Demise

Somewhat of a lackluster card but here it is:

PAY-PER-VIEW BOUTS

UFC Welterweight Championship
Georges St. Pierre - 169.5
Matt Serra - 169.5

Welterweight Bout
Diego Sanchez - 168.5
Josh Koscheck - 170.5

Middleweight Bout
Yushin Okami - 184.0
Mike Swick - 184.0

Middleweight Bout
Alan Belcher - 184.0
Kendall Grove - 185.5

Lightweight Bout (also the Swing Bout)
Roger Huerta - 155.0
Leonard Garcia - 154.5

PRELIMINARY BOUTS

Heavyweight Bout
Brad Imes - 260.5
Heath Herring - 245.0

Middleweight Bout
Thales Leites - 186.0
Pete Sell - 186.0

Welterweight Bout
Marcus Davis - 169.5
Pete Spratt - 170.5

Welterweight Bout
Josh Haynes - 171.0
Luke Cummo - 170.0

The more one ponders it the less competitive the main event may be so I'm hoping that at least Swick & Okami put up a great fight. And honestly I wouldn't mind a double KO in the Sanchez-Koscheck match. They should get some trash talk lessons from Rampage, then at least they'd be entertaining.

right after Huerta and Garcia put on one of the best fights ever, Kos and Diego put on one of the worst ever. it was on par with Tim/AA 3.

and Joe has kinda grown on me as of late, but the hard-on he has for Kos makes me wanna punch him in the face.

Eddie Bravo "he fought the perfect fight", punch yourself...please.

I need to change the title of my own thread
Although I feel all warm and fuzzy from the thought of Serra subbing Hughes. That'd be hilarious.

Damn that Huerta fight was great!

I would love to watch that.

indeed, it was like Barrera/Morales in MMA. can't believe how much both those guys took and kept coming forward.

Grove's sub was pretty nice and Swick/Okami was a good fight too.

minus Kos/Diego the lackluster card turned out pretty good.

but man, its gonna take a while to sink in the fact that GSP got KO'ed in 1 round.

wow, Sports Center just showed the Serra/GSP highlight.

Serra's a good fighter, but I don't think any of us predicted that. Gotta take my hat off to Serra though, he did what many of us thought he couldnt.

my friend Gary Rock trains with and is good friends with Matt Serra. He says Matt has really put his time in (training striking ) over the past year. This guy eats lives and breathes combat.

Another friend of mine also had a fighter competeing this weekend in an event in Abingdon Va where Serra was special guest. He said Serra was very polite upbeat and signed hundreds of autographs.

Hats off to Serra.

thanks
