Pride bought by UFC?
Not sure if this is a good thing, but there's some pretty strong rumors, it sounds like, that Pride has finally caved and now Dana and the Fretitta's own all that is currently Pride Fighting. Although we're still waiting on an official word.

So now it's down to the IFL and the UFC bascially.

So much for Cro Cop holding on to the title huh? He may have to join Sylvia's support group if Hunt (yes Hunt) or Fedor get in the cage

I think Hunt losing weight will only help his game. Maybe a little less power, but better agility and endurance?

I would guess that Hunt walks about at about 305+ and then comes into fights about 290'ish? He would have to drop almost another 30lbs. to make weight in the UFC. BTW, I am a HUGE Mark Hunt fan.....it's funny though, on sherdog's fight finder they have him listed @ 250lbs. God one, Hunt hasn't seen 250 since Jr. high....
Don't forget wins over Wandy and Crocop......

Game over:
Quote:
In a lawsuit filed Monday, PRIDE USA president Ed Fishman alleges that Dream Stage Entertainment, the longtime operator of the PRIDE Fighting Championships, has failed to pay him per the terms of a three-year agreement. As a result, said a source close to Fishman, PRIDE could be in breach to the tune of $10 million.
According to the complaint, which lists DSE and numerous unnamed parties as defendants, Fishman was to receive $200,000 annually for a minimum of three years, or, said the same source, a maximum of five had he decided to use an option that extended the deal.

As for Hunt, to quote Sam Jackson "I wouldn't go so far to call the brother fat. I mean, he has a weight problem, what's the ni***r gonna do, he's Samoan."

Thought this little tidbit was interesting...wonder what that means:
Sakikabara pointed out that it isn't the UFC that is buying Pride; it's the Fertittas. He said that the Fertittas will have 100% ownership, unlike with UFC parent company Zuffa, where the Fertittas own the vast majority of the company (believed to be 90%) and Dana White owns a minority stake (believed to be 10%).

I think the implication is that the Fertittas (doesn't that sound like a Mexican food lol) are supposedly going to treat them as separate orgs for the most part that have "supercards" at least once a year. If they stick to that it could be really cool.
