Default Kali: Martial Art suggestions?

Anyone familiar with Kali?
I'd like to go try a few lessons, and see what its all about. Anyone have any comments?

How about suggestions on where I can find a center that offers it? I'm in the LA Area so i'm hoping I could find somewhere around here...

What part of LA are you in?

For Filipino arts you can't get any better than the Inosanto Academy in Marina Del Rey: http://inosanto.com/index.php

BobbyD has studied there so perhaps he can chime in.

Richard Bustillo's IMB Academy is in Torrance. A student of Dan Inosanto and many other masters, this is also a good place. A friend of mine went there some years back and had nothing but good to say about it.

Good luck.

Try a guy named Dan Sullivan. He's a old student of Guro Dan Inosanto. I believe he is in the OC. I'll check around. How did you decide upon Kali?
D Sullivan is also well rounded in muay that and bjj.
