Couture Fighting Tomorrow in LA!
Dos you going?
Randy Couture is taking on Jacare (multiple time world BJJ champ) in a submission grappling match tomorrow night at the Culver City Veterans Memorial. Also on the card, the #1 pound for pound grappler in the world Marcello Garcia is fighting shooto champ Jake Shields.
Rickson Gracie's son Kron (recently won world BJJ title while subbing ALL his opponents) is making his debut and there are a few more world BJJ champs on the card - gonna be good.

Well, I think the fact that Jacare is probabaly about a buck-80 might give Randy a better chance than expected.

Yeah I think Randy outweighs Jacare by 30lbs or so. That said I have a hard time believing Randy can negate Jacare's sweeps and stay safe on top but who knows, it is Couture.

That should be an interesting battle. But honestly if I was in LA I'd be meeting up with Hartman, Dos and Cosgrove. That sounds like a great place to be...wonder if they'd allow me to have some Irish Whiskey?

Randy is gonna be tough. He is very strong, and knows how to control position on the ground. Plus he weighs well over 210, unless there is a catch weight.
Teamquest also has one of the top guys from the the Machado camp giving them some BJJ help.

Couture drew with Jacare. Not sure how it went though.
Kron won. Reportedly Glover was impressive and don't know about Garcia.
Only match I saw tonight was Alwyn leg kicking Bill Hartman at the bar. For real.

Jacare had many submission attemps that couture neutralized.
Kron won by points. Garcia won by choke over sheilds. Lovato and Glover both had impressive wins.
