For my money the best fight commentator out there. Bas's charisma and humor added so much to Pride.
Bas imitating Rocky ("cut me Mick") during the Fedor/Herring fight is so classic.

I love the ""self defence" vid, where the guy is sitting with his legs crossed and Bas is standing over him saying "You said what about my wife? ANd I put my hand here and here and break your leg. Oh yeah that knee will completely shatter!"
His Tont Montana from Scarface is pretty damn good too!

I'm partial to "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gonna break your leg"
boy all the times I've used that one brings back memories....

Once you start...it's hard to stop - I watched about 15 of them in a row!

I love that Bas vs. Frank Shamrock match from Pancrase. Some tough SOBs man. It'd be cool to see Frank make a comeback against some serious competition.

well he's making one apparently...idk about the "serious competition" part though.
Apparently Frank's got a "multi-million" dollar contract with that show. Any ideas who else is signed to fight?

Lots of talk about Frank vs. Tito down the road in some sort of big $ IFL fight or something.

"What the hell is the IFL" asks the out of touch Canadian...
IFL was gaining some steam at one point claiming to have signed Crocop et al. They were offering lots of $ and it must have been enticing to many fighters.

IFL - International Fight League I believe is what it stands for. It's a team MMA concept. Teams around the country who put on fights every few months like the UFC. Big difference is that their fighters are salaried and not fighting for peanuts like those starting out in the UFC. think I read that the fighters are making 60K a year, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.
IFL is turning into a solid show! Pat Miletich just fought Renzo Gracie this past weekend. Mark Kerr is fighting Mike Whitehead (TUF) next month.
Now Shamrock (the good one) and Baroni. + Daniel Gracie is fighting in an upcoming event. Look for Carlos Newton, who is currently an IFL coach to fight too.
They're are slowly but surely attracting some top shelf fighters.
this weekend on Fox Sports they'll be showing the Matt Lindland/Jeremy Horn and Gracie/Miletich fights.

he ment Sunday and Monday...
The International Fight League (IFL) will provide fans with two consecutive nights of action this coming Sunday, Oct. 1, and Monday night, Oct. 2, on Fox Sports Net. Sunday night, fans will get to see a one-hour special featuring the Jeremy Horn-Matt Lindland fight from Memorial Coliseum in Portland. On Monday night, the IFL and FSN will present a special two-hour prime-time edition of "The Best Damn Sports Show Period," featuring last week’s battle between the Silverbacks and the Pitbulls. The team matchup will then be followed by the much-anticipated Pat Miletich-Renzo Gracie Superfight, which wrapped up the "World Team Championship" quarterfinal evening last Saturday at The Mark in Moline, Illinois. The Monday matchup will also see the legendary announce team of Stephen Quadros and Bas Rutten reunited for the first time in several years.
for time I think you'll have to either look online or check your TV guide cause FSN is always showing regional stuff so the times can be different by a couple hours between regions.
