cropcop looked as good as ever....how about the interview after with Trigg.....would have been the last of crocop had he lost either fight tonight! Holy shit! Anyway, gotta love barnett....great fighter, great personality. Anybody that can get nog screaming with a knee bar is ok with me. BTW, Wandy got his ASS-KICKED tonight!

How'd you like those body shots Dos?
CroCop's performance tonight ranks right up there with the best ever in my opinion. He hadn't looked as sharp in since his loss to Fedor but it's safe to say he's back. Silva has never been dismantled like that before. And how about Barnett's broken orbital?
I hope Tim Sylvia was watching so he could see what some real striking looks like.
Barnett sure moved up in defeating Nog though. I'd love to see him have a go with Fedor after CroCop gets beat again on Dec. 31st

I'm with you....I don't see crocop being able to stop Fedor....even if he wasn't prepared 100% last time, Fedor dismantled the poor guy...and MAN is that saying something about Fedor.
Wonder what that last body shot that took barnett down would feel like....ok, actually I don't really care to know what that actally felt like. i will just assume that it probably feels like you got shot or something.
Silva got completely manhandled...had it not been for the 5 min. stoppage when he was getting his lumpy head checked-out, Mirko would have beaten him much sooner. How about KNOWING that the left high kick is coming yet there is not a god damned thing you can do about it.....simply amazing.

BTW, Pride would be stupid to not have Barnett on their first U.S. card.
P.S. Just can't get used to Frank Trigg with that head of hair that looks like a wig....

BOO-YA!!!
Pretty funny how some posters on sherdog are saying that the kick 'barely grazed wandy.....I'd like to see someone take a 'graze' like this to the noggin'!

I don't know how Mirko doesn't break his instep nailing guys like that. Imagine if it was his shin connecting!
As for Sherdoggers they are all such experts tossing out nuggets of wisdom such as how Fedor has no competition in Pride so should go to the UFC...
btw Dos, Trigg's coiffure looks better in person. Saw him at a sports bar not long ago. Still, he does remind me of Gene Hackman in a wig as Lex Luthor

I'm amazed at how much power he gets in at awkward angles - especially with that left hook...partnered with an opponent who's paranoid about the roundhouse and jeez!

What'd I say about the kicking with the instep...
Quote:
http://www.vecernji-list.hr/newsroom...30958/index .do
Translation:
He'll spend the next three weeks without much physical exertion and he'll have to walk with crutches as much as possible. Something got injured in his foot (i can't translate the medial term, I don't know what "fibula" is), so we can't put weight on his left leg, the one that conquered the world. Mirko was preparing for the tournament injured, and he even trained "under constraints." (?)
"Mirko has a breakage of contact zone in his ankle, so we'll discuss the way the therapy should take place later," said dr. Bucan

Was usually my ankles that got damaged in competitions. Range changing at just the wrong moment.
The instep thing is a "sport karate" development. In the original katas, you're supposed to still kick with the same part as in a front kick.
Looks funny - but a lot safer.
