Default Ultimate Fight Night Tonight?

Anyone going to be watching this tonight? If I don't fall over asleep I'm going to try and watch a few of the fights. I'm hoping that Leban loses, but who knows (kuri your thoughts?). Line up is as follows:

Luke Cummo (169 lbs) vs. Jonathan Goulet (169 lbs) – Swing Bout
Stephan Bonnar (205 lbs) vs. Rashad Evans (205 lbs)
Mark Hominick (154 lbs) vs. Jorge Gurgel (155 lbs)

PRELIMINARY BOUTS (Non-televised)
Josh Koscheck (171 lbs) vs. Dave Menne (170 lbs)
Jason Lambert (206 lbs) vs. Branden Lee Hinkle (205 lbs)
Thiago Alves (171 lbs) vs. Jon Fitch (171 lbs)
Rob MacDonald (203 lbs) vs. Kristian Rothaermel (205 lbs)
Justin Levens (186 lbs) vs. Jorge Santiago (185 lbs)

I'm giving Anderson Silva a great chance at KOing Leben. Though he has lost a few by sub recently (why Dana brought him in against Leben IMO) he did knock out Matt Hughes with a knee.

I could care less about Bonnar and Evans but I hope they show Menne vs Koscheck. Menne is just a tough bastard! I saw him gives Hughes a helluva fight in the finals of a tourney some years ago. Sitting about 20 feet from the cage I got a good feel for how explosive these guys really are.
If Koscheck can't keep him on his back then Josh is gonna be in trouble.

What time does this air tonight?

Oh yeah...speaking of Militech fighter's. There's the distinct possibility that I can go and see Militech fight Gracie in the IFL. Anyone want to fly into Moline, IL and go with me? Tickets for the fight are very reasonable...at least compared to the UFC. Does that really surprise anyone!!

I'm guessing the only way we are going to get to see some of the fights that aren't supposed to be televised is if (a) the fights are very quick and (b) Goldberg and Rogan get laringitis and can't talk as much!

Air time tonight is 8pm eastern...so 5pm your time Kuri? Would that be right? Right after that the premier of Blade the TV show...hummm...Probably not getting to bed early.

It's only 2 hours long so with all the Blade promo and celebrity sightings that equals about.... 1 1/2 televised fights according to my calculations.

But it's free so what the hey.

Def go check out the IFL Dorr. Saw some of that on Fox Sports the other day and it was very good.

If I'm still in the Quad Cities in September I'm definetly going to go. never been and I'd be stupid to miss this one. Perhaps I'll treat myself to a ringside seat.

HO.LY shit

Anderson Silva just knocked Leben the hell out in less than one minute! Silva just toyed with him landing punches, kicks, and finally a knee to end it.

If the UFC keeps bringing in more Pride guys like Silva all their TUF guys are gonna be unemployed

bwhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahaahah ahahahahahhaahahh

oh man did i love that. Anderson dis-fucking-mantled Leben. there was nothing remotely competitive about that fight. it was a repeat of Franklin vs. Quarry. hahahaha.

unfortunately the rest of the fights sucked, hard. i thought the Hominick-Gurgel fight would be good but meh. glad Evans won, Bonner annoys me to no end, everything about him. plus his last "win" was BS. Evans seems to have a lot of potential, he's clearly athletically gifted, but damn does he need to learn some ground n pound.

I heard Evans forgot his "pound" in the locker room. Hopefully he brings it next time in case he fights a non-TUF fighter and gets Silva'd.

Anyone else notice that TUF fighters were on the losing end in each fight? hmmm...

So much for Leban's taking him to the ground! Yeah I love to see those fights where they put people in their place!
