One other note: Just over 10,000 tickets were sold, with nearly half that amount comped to Paris Hiltonites, yet Goldy kept chirping about the "sold out Staples Center."
hmm now why didn't Rampage, Lindland, and Frank Shamrock sign with Dana?

Wanderlei Silva makes at least $500K per fight. I imagine other top dogs such as Nogueira and Fedor make in that neighborhood. I heard Yoshida and Nogawa each made around a million for their last fight.
But the thing is that even the lowest paid fighters in Pride makes many, many times more than most UFC guys.
Hence Pride has more quality talent.

What the hell is up with those figures? I thought Hugh's was making a bunch more than that? I thought I saw one of his fights he was pulling in 200K+. Perhaps I'm mistaken. Also on these figures I think they usually are matched if they win. At least that's the way I've seen them in the past. So Hugh's for instance was guranteed $55K, but if he won he'd get $110K.
Bottom line however is that Zuffa is getting rich and not the fighters who are putting their body on the line. No way I would fight for $2000. Wouldn't even cover expenses (or does Zuffa cover that?).

I'll fight for 2k.
Hell, that's 2k more than what I am going to get paid when I fight. If I'm lucky I'll get a T-shirt. If I'm real lucky I'll get a free beer.
