UFC 61 sounds great already, with the AA - Sylvia rematch as well as Shamrock-Ortiz.

I also thought 60 was solid all around... the main event went down pretty much as I expected, but the undercard fights didn't disappoint. I'm disappointed they didn't show the Jeremy Horn fight, but the others were entertaining for the most part.

Did anyone else notice David Spade sitting next to Paris Hilton sneaking swigs from an airplane bottle of Jack Daniels? Highlight of the night for me.

Yeah meeting Couture would have been awesome.

I may have to reverse my opinion of Trigg!
Randy is a really nice guy, and a great coach. If you ever get the chance to train with him, do it. There will be a seminar in Corvallis, OR in a few weeks if you are in the area.

I need to watch the fight again, but I think that Diego won. He was the agressor the whole fight, and definitelly won the last round.

Alessio's defense against Diego's takedowns were phenomenal but if you think that you are doing to win a fight by avoiding takedowns and occasionally landing a jab..... not how I would approach a big fight.

The fact that he opened up a cut on Diego means nothing. If you don't want to go to the ground, then you better stay busy on your feet. Alessio did the minimum as far as I am concerned.

Gracie lost, Hughes was way to strong.

The Lister fight was great in that I learned something from it.

The Guillard fight.... that was great. KTFO.

If the UFC wants to be successful, then they need to quit with the "you fight UFC only " clause. Let guys fight in different orgs. and lets see if they really are the best.

ko, I watched the Alessio-Sanchez fight again and still think Alessio won. But maybe that's why I'm not a highly respected judge like Cecil Peoples

I understand your POV but think that Alessio's minimum was still better than what Diego could do. The fact that Sanchez was moving forward more than Alessio doesn't mean he controlled the action. IMO Alessio nullified Diego's game and was more effective with his striking. Alessio's punches did damage while Diego's did none as far as I could tell.

No argument that Alessio should have let his hands go. He was in the big show afterall, but I still think he took 2 rounds.

Hopefully we'll get to see them do it again someday.

They need to go back to unlimited rounds and/or one indefinite round. Get the hell rid of these decisions!!!
