Unhappy

Did anyone else see the story on 20/20 tonight about this kid who, at 8, was benching 200+? About 3x his body weight? He was measured at 1% BF! His dad wouldn't let him eat anything but some concoction he put together. "Dad" was eventually arrested for abusing his mother and, although he was obviously abusing his son as well, I just didn't hear if that was part of the charges.

I couldn't find any pics online, surprisingly!

It IS incredible, but kind of weird. I just hope the kid is OK, physically, yes, but mostly psychologically/emotionally.

I think they showed something about him on Ripleys: Believe It Or Not.
They dude's been training since he can walk, and it's not just weightlifting, he's practicing some sort of martial art (pretty good technique whatever it is from what I saw) as well.
Anyway, looked like a happy kid, how wouldn't he be, I bet he can kick a 15 year old's ass anyday.

He was also on Dr. Phil talking about his abusive father. We had a thread a month or so ago in the OT http://forums.jpfitness.com/cgi-bin/.../t/001214.html

For some reason, I think the judge in the case against his father also ruled that the kid can't life anymore until he's 16... or whenever the trial was, he couldn't lift until he turned 15... something like that. Still, he looked pretty awesome and was continuing with his martial arts training.

I thought the kid had a pretty healthy attitude about his father, although perhaps sad. He basically had just written him off.
