Dartfrog:
Do you have access to a heavy bag of some sort? Right off the bat, there is a difference in whether or not you do a Tae Bo style workout (all in the air) or can actually kick and punch something. If you don't have access, are you willing/able to buy one? You can get the kind that had a base which can be filled with water or sand, so you don't have to worry about hanging one (which is a problem in homes because of the forces on the structural members of the house).
When I was thinking of offering some sessions of this at my school, I did try a few video workouts. They are all in the air type workouts (no hitting bags).
The Tae Bo workouts are good.
Kathy Smith's Kickboxing workout is good -- lot of technique pointers
While there is no kicking, the Aerobox workout is good. It's boxing focused, and uses jump rope work (an excellent activity). It's done by Kathy Smith along with Michael Olahide (boxer).
If you could get a bag, you could look for stuff at Century Martial Arts
http://www.nstkd.com/productBrowseVi...?category=1487 for kickboxing and boxing instruction on techniques and using instruction and
www.titleboxing.com for some instructional dvds on equipment training.
If you do train with equipment, you have to be careful. If you don't do it properly, you can get hurt. You should use proper form/technique (you can get the basics from a video, for this type of training), and don't hit too hard.
Good luck!
