61 DC Thorns and Roses - Week 9 - The Final Days!
So, it's the 27th already! Just five days left in the 61 Day Challenge! Home stretch!
Roses: I'm leaner, I guess. Hit a PR with DB Snatches, tonight (100lbs).
Thorns: Five days is not long enough for the six pack to make it. Dang!

Roses: I've been pretty happy with my workouts in general. Made some good gains.
Thorns: Still not eating enough, I think. My weight has not budged. But, my clothes arent' getting any tighter either. I strained my shoulder last week so my chin-up challenge is on hold. And, I won't make my personal goal but I've accomplished other personal goals so I'm very pleased with that. It's all good!

Roses: It's been fun, I learned the 1/2 day nutrition plan, I am in one notch on my belts and down 7#.
Thorn:The only thorn somewhat is that I didn't hit my 12# weight loss goal. A normal summer for me would be an average gain of 2 or 3# per month so truly this was a net 13# to the good.

The last few days.....
Roses: After 4 weeks of upped calories, I can drop the calorie count again. I'm looking forward to it. I've achieved most of my goals for the Challenge. I'm pretty pleased with my overall results.
Thorns: I didn't get the pushup challenge done and I probably won't get the intervals in before next week.

Hard to believe we're at the final week already.
Rose: I've been on track this week with the eating, probably the best I've done since before vacation. Not sure it's enough to make that big a difference at this point, but my pants are feeling a bit looser.
Thorn: Workouts aren't happening, at least not as frequently as they're supposed to.

This has been a great challenge for me personally. It has really helped to motivate me, which had been lacking for some time -- with sporadic results due to this.
Roses: I am currently down 7 lbs since the start -- goal was 10. Will probably not make my goal, but this is still good. Eating has actually been good recently -- which is usually the tough area for me.
Thorns: Workouts have been slacking a bit. Starting to pick up again now, but the last week has been limited.

Roses: Many kind PMs this week.
Thorns: Not so many workouts. Going to fall short on that goal.

Roses: I met my goals with my weight gain and completing my workouts. On Tuesday, I will probably post a detailed post in my log of my results.
Thorns: I haven't and won't complete my competitive goal. I just couldn't find anything I was interested in doing and that fit my schedule. If I had completed this goal like a 5k run or something, it might have hindered my personal goal of weight gain. I would rather accomplish the weight gain goal.

Possible Thorn: Aoife noticed my hand position seems to be incorrect in my progress pictures and suggested I might have internal rotation going on. I wouldn't know what to look for in this case, but can defintely see what she means.

Checking in heading into the final stretch.
Roses: Training for half marathon continues. Did my longest walk to date yesterday at 7 miles. Did it in 1:58:20.
Thorns: Never got the lifting going. Not going to hit personal goal.

roses: finally overbeing sick, got in another workout, got in some bike rides, volleyball, lost 10 pounds while i was sick(rose or thorn? prob not good wt loss) everythings finally getting back to normal again.
Thorn, to little to late, not gonna have time to get caught up on workouts or bike rides. so gonna come up short on both of those areas, but i'm gonna squeeze every last one out that i can for the last few days

Rose: Since today is the last day, I thought I would post again. I met my nutrition, workout and personal goals. I was a little worried about meeting the workout goal there towards the end, but I pulled it together.
Thorn: I didn't complete a competitive goal, mainly because I didn't ever set one. I guess you can't fail at something you don't set. I should have done one though.
I'm really glad I did this challenge. I started to opt out of doing it, but decided I really needed this. I'm going to keep it up, after taking around a week off. I plan to workout harder and eat even better this time.
I hope everyone met their goals and have no regrets.
