LIVIN' LARGE: Minimizing yourself and maximizing your life! When you have over 100 pounds to lose it can seem impossible to get started in the right direction.
I am very behind on a lot of things right now. My days at work have gotten longer and my sleep has decreased. My workouts have suffered some, but I have been doing some things as substitute of what I had planned. Right now I am exhausted and feeling a bit sick. I wish you all the best. I am sorry for not being able to read everyones log yet.

Relax, man. Take care of yourself. Don't work yourself sick, that's just no fun. You might want to try something like cold snap, if you feel cold symptoms, it tends to help me. Hope you feel better. Get some sleep, don't worry about little things like here.
Feel better, Newman. It sucks when life gets in the way of posting...
Thorns: Totally blew it, last night. Ice cream and chocolate chips and spoons full of peanut butter. But, I'm confident that, along with the protein powder that I also ate, that I'm going to use those calories for wiping the floor with Jill and Tina. I have to stop now, before this becomes a "rose."
Roses: My workouts have been awesome. I've got some really good drive going. Psyching myself up to lift as aggressively as possible and it's making my workouts great. I'm very motivated to kick the asses of those weak, weak little girls. I'm noticeably leaner, too.
James: take it easy, you are missed but we can get by, unfortunately Roland is right, but real life does get in the way.
Roland: Fuck we are nerds. No not cause of the ice-cream and not the chocolate chip cookies....spoonfuls of peanut butter and protein powder hahahah. 1/4 of your total disaster isn't that bad and 1/4 is pretty good leaving only half being total ass.
Roses: Good news first. I feel leaner and think I look leaner in the mirror, I don't see it in the pictures as much, but I will post new ones in the next couple of days. Went to fight practice the other night it was fun, but I am still stiff and sore. Seems I will need to modify my workouts a little and add in some more GPP stuff, which was the plan anyhow. I am planning on working out here as well as some jump rope before I am off to drink far to much beer this afternoon.
Thorns: Not to much workout wise. The beer tonight, and the BBQ tomorrow will be some. Mental health wise I have been having a hard time staying positive. I know the world isn't out to get me, but some days it sure feels like it.

I started with the protein powder, and headed for the healthy food as a follow up. Decided to splurge with a small cup of ice cream. I was a deliciously slippery slope...
Feeling better today. Getting caught up on forum logs. Another shift tonight at work. I am hoping to actually have tomorrow off. I need 1 day. A single day, all to myself.

Hi all! Home for the weekend for work, and taking a break now before diving into my paperwork.
Roses: The weather has been hot and beautiful in New Hampshire ... and I'm living on a lake ... 'nuff said!! Oh, and I went water skiing on Thursday evening! I'll post photos in my journal ...
Thorns: Eating has not been perfect ... sigh ... oh well ...

Rose - Had some fun at the gym this morning, and deadlifts felt good, not tight or strange, so Danny's mobility plan is working well. I've been avoiding buying perishable stuff since I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow, so a few snacks and meals have been a bit odd but so far I've kept to clean stuff (even if it meant buying yogurt at my work cafeteria at twice the price it is at the grocery store...).
Thorn (potentially...): tomorrow vacation begins. I will plan to keep the eating clean when it's up to me, but when I'm visiting relatives and such, I'm sure I'll have pasta, potatoes, casserole, etc. served to me. I'm hoping I can keep it to three or fewer "bad" meals per week.

We are officially at the half way point folks.... 30 days down and 30 days to go.

Roses: I had a good workout today. I switched up the sets and reps, and I can really feel it. I was starting to adjust to my other sets/reps, so I thought it was time for a change.
I have to leave town for the 4th, and I'm going to try the gym there. I am really excited just to see a different gym and change things up.
Thorn: My diet could have been a little bit cleaner, but I handle food pretty well. If anything I could stand to gain a few pounds (preferably muscle). I've got a tough month ahead of me. I've let myself get a little bit behind, and I will have to work extra hard to meet my goals. I'm confident I can do it though.
I wish everyone luck during their 4th of July holiday.
Thorns.... Found out Friday that the cmpany I work for is being acquired, so that makes the future somewhat cloudy and uncertain. Been through 3 jobs in 4 years due to these things, and thought I was good for a few years. Trying to stay positive and keep the eating under control....
Roses - I am in control of my workouts, and eats for the weekend were on track, despite the siren song of the ice cream and cookies...
Thorns: Feeling fat most of the time right now. I'm having a hard time mentally adjusting to 2500 calories. I feel so full most of the time that it's hard for me to get my calories in. I've realized the 30 pushups by my birthday is too ambitious.
Roses: My arms and legs are filling out nicely and there's some nice definition going on. I'm getting ready to reincorporate SS cardio and HIIT into my workouts.

thorns, no workouts friday or saturday, despite our intentions to. wound up with a weird-assed wake-sleep schedule and such.
roses, very relaxing weekend, actually, even mentally. Ate fine. Painted some. Read some. Worked on other stuff, so most of my personal goals have moved forward, even if my workouts haven't.
Bonus Rose: I just finished posting two more things the dontbeapicklebump.com web site. I've meet my minimum goal of 8 new articles/pages.

THORNS - Work stress causing sleep problems. Humid weather having negative impacts on running, but that's par for the course here in Bama.
ROSES - Back is getting better. After 10 days off from any exercise, I am running and doing resistance training with weight again - although I am using extreme caution on squats, deads, and rows or anything else that might re-ding the back. Had a good, but short, beach vacation with the family and even did a 6-mile run in the sand and surf barefoot (which left me with some blisters for a couple of days but it was fun! )
Thorns - Stuck on about 82kg, Still havent done any walking as part of the challenge. Its sunny today, so I may get out there.
Still no luck in finding an event either.
Roses - Workouts are going really well, mobility work has also been consistent, and I feel as though I have had some break throughs with my
hip mobility and getting my ass to fire correctly.
Rose - I just updated it all, heres where i stand.
Nutrition - 57/100 (57%)
Weight Training - 15/25 (60%)
Mobility Work - 21/30 (70%)
Walking - 1/24 (4%)
Roses: Had a great time over the weekend in Eagle River. Got in a good run and workout plus met my goal of only straying from my eating plan fopr only 3 half days.
Thorns: Got back to town to find out that my Mom had complications with her knee rehab that had landed her back in the hospital.

back from vacation, checking in, i've got everything i did written down over the past week, so i'll update my log in the next day or two after i get caught up with work (unfortunately, i have to give work priority here) but i have been keeping track, and the fishing was great! made all my goals related to that one
Status: The basic goals
Nutrition - 55/110 (I'm half way there!)
Resistance Training - 12/26
Interval training 2/8
SS 3/8
Competition Done - YES
Have earned 276/771 points (36%)
Personal Goals
Eating when I get up instead of waiting - I haven't been really tracking this closely but I have been very consistent in getting something in my stomach shortly after I wake up.
Carrying meals 60/100 (60%)
Pushups - Honestly haven't done a lot of work on this since I cratered a couple weeks ago.
Article on websites 8 pages have been posted which meets my minimum. That means I should easily be able to add more and meet the 16 requirement.

All Roses this past week. In my Training Log I had set a "Goal within a Goal" of being "perfect" from June 25th to July 1st including 14/14 Nutrition, 3 RT's, 3 HIIT's, and 1 SS cardio. I did it. Since starting this on-again/off-again pursuit of fitness in December 2005 I do not recall ever going a week without a cheat meal or non-clean eating day. That includes a few 52 Day Challenges over at the MH Boards.
At the beginning of this 61 day challenge one personal goal was to go from 208 (with a lean mass of 162.5 lbs.) to 193 and maintain my lean mass. On June 25th when I decided to go for a perfect week I weighed in at 205.5. At that time I had come off some very bad nutrition days and pretty much wrote off making my 193 goal but resolved to bear down on my NG/training goals and accept whatever weight loss I achieved. Monday morning I weighed in at 200 even!! My single fold caliper showed a 18.5% BF so my lean mass is 163 lbs!!
So 52% of the way into the challenge I am 53% on my way to achieving a goal I had given up on.
You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your f---ing khakis.-Tyler Durden
Rose: So far, so good. I'm here in Dansville, NY, and the trip was uneventful and I ate well. Packing lots of chicken breasts, Soylent green, worked well. My friends here like veggies and cook some really great stuff. Last night we had marinated chicken kabobs with peppers and onions, and salad with greens, watermelon pieces and feta cheese. The salad sounds a bit strange but it's really GOOD!
Thorn: Right now I'm in the process of finding a nearby gym. We'll see if I can get some gym time in regularly.

Thorn: I, too, am having a horrible time keeping up with my tracker sheet.
Roses: I finished my final workout for the break in on NROL and have the rest of the week off. Start Fat Loss I next week along with the TNT diet full force! I'm ready to get rid of this fat once and for all! Slowly cutting the carbs down this week Maybe I won't be so unbearable next week this way....LOL However, I will enjoy the extra fat in the form of avocado's, nuts, and peanut butter
200lbs deadlift for 3 reps for 5 sets. Pleased with the improvement since I began doing them at the beginning of the year.
I think (fingers crossed) i've got a new job (personal challenge). Went for an interview last week and the HR officer called today whilst I was at work and told my mum that they'd write and email 'confirmation'
