That's pretty good. He had a good motivational tip in there. Make a list of things you can't do because of your size. Do them as you lose the weight, to keep motivated.

His were to go on amusement park rides, sit in movie theatre seats, and travel on a plane.

Its funny how I can remember having similar sorts of goals.

I do want to add that the individual's achievements while impressive are not typical. Someone reading the article should not assume that they will have the same results. As with anything, we have to remember that each of us is unique. Just because you don't lose 30 lbs in a month doesn't mean you aren't getting results. To many of us .25 lbs a month is progress.

Success is measured differently by each of us as well. ( I talk a lot about differences and uniqueness I know) Consider the business owner that will only consider his business a success if he makes X amount of money this quarter? The mother who is only a success if her children achieve Y and Z. but what about the person who says, "If I wake up in the morning, I will be successful today."

Do we see how varying definitions of success can impact perceptions of achievement??
