Your first tip (the first post) has been working for me since I started on this fitness journey 10 years ago. When I fall off the wagon, I adjust the contents of my next meals and snacks accordingly. If I have time, I throw in some workout.
Partying has been tough.. but I have become very thick skinned by now. People comment, make jokes.. Roland you have been lucky that your friends have accepted your ways of eating. My friends and family still have not.
Another tip that worked for me was to plan my whole week's meal. I buy groceries over the weekend, clean and cut up the veggies for the entire week and refrigerate them. My snacks are planned as well. It leaves very little room for failure because I do not like to waste food and refrigetor has to be empty before I go for grocery next weekend.
