Looking up “Dieter’s Prayer” on Google, quite a number of books and articles show up that deal with the efficacy of prayer in reducing obesity. I have my doubts, but anyway, what I was trying to find was not nutritional theology, but the lyrics to a wonderful song written by the cabaret artist Amanda McBroom and sung in her album “Live from Rainbow and Stars.” (Get it!) I did find the lyrics and here they are.

I understand how prayer may help. There are 2 sides to that. It is good to wish or pray for good things, in this case, losing weight. However, "wishing" and "praying" shows some doubt instead of being more affirmative in your thoughts. Be aware of your words and self talk because they have a HUGE HUGE impact sub consciously on your actions.
