thanks everyone! I am loving the challenge over on the women's thread. since this last post in this thread, I did put on a bit of holiday weight, but clothes fit the same, so at the start of the challenge my before pics show a bit higher weight, but I 'm guessing NROL boy book helped me add muscle.

I have lost 85 lbs. since my highest recorded weight of 255 in 2002. Most of that was in the last year. I may of weighed more at one time but I'm not sure because I wouldn't step on a scale.

My first 30 lbs. I hate to admit it but I did Atkins. After I started getting smarter I ate better. I hope I am getting smarter everyday. In the last 6 months I have started lifting weights. I finally realize after struggling with my weight for 25 years that weights are definitely the answer with smart nutrition choices not starving myself to death. I think the biggest obstacle was my way of thinking. I am changing that and my body is changing with my head.

Well done - there's quite a few women in the NROL for Women section who are doing the same thing. Also if you wanted to document/track your progress you could post a log to the Training Log section of the forum.

I was 208 this fall (after Thanksgiving). 193 on the scale this past Friday.
At work I hear comments from a lot of the staff. Went to give blood yesterday and the staff noticed it too. Not wearing clothing that's different. Am down a notch on my belt though. My daughter noticed it too one day when I was walking around w/o my shirt on. "Daddy, no spare tire" (thanks to the ex for getting her going on that). My GF loves it...my stomach is getting flat for the first time in years.
My plan isn't too bad. I workout M/W/F using one of the workouts from Muscle Revolution. Takes me 25 minutes or so. Then I hit the treadmill for 30 minutes (sometimes 20, mostly 30). I usually get in 2.8 miles in 30 minutes with a mix of walking, jogging, running. Eating? Less crap. A lot less crap. If I'm in the mood for chips I'll eat an apple or banana then will buy a small bag of them - after the fruit I'm not so hungry. I still eat the occasional pastry but I save those for special moments like with the gf and I go out for morning coffee. Then we split one and savor it.
My attitude has changed a lot too. I'm not drawn to crappy foods now. Cheat meals? Sure but I control them - a couple of slices of pizza and a glass of wine instead an entire pizza and a bottle of wine.
I'm trying to get down to 180 now. Sitting at a plateau right now and could use some new pants but I'll wait. Maybe I can hit 180 before my "stimulus check" arrives.

i have lost 16 lbs this month.
in college i was down to 155 lbs. but after graduation, getting married, getting a desk job, etc i got on the scale in November and i was 199.7 lbs. that is 52 lbs in 5 years. so i thought long and hard about it and came to decision that i was not going to hit the 200lb mark.
its not like i was inactive. i was doing kung fu, and jiu jitsu. then i signed up for a triathlon and have been training for that. but its wierd bc i wasn't dropping much weight. maybe a pound or two. so i knew it was my diet. i have never known how to eat correctly and i am cautious of 'diets' so really what i was looking for was a lifestyle change. you fine folks pointed me int he direction of the tnt diet about a month ago and while i don't follow it to the t i have a better understanding of how the things i eat function. so i can figure out when to eat what and what not to eat ever (or almost never). so yeah i lost 12 lbs the first 2 weeks and abotu 2 lbs per week since.
o and whats more telling than the weight loss is that my waist is 2-3 inches smaller. i am now fitting in to pants i haven't worn in more than a year. and i had to put a new hole in my belt (in the good direction)

Since the beginning of the year, by following a TNT based lifestyle, I have lost a total of 17 lbs so far. My goal is to get down to 205 lb.

Is it OK to post in this forum if you HAD over 100 pounds to lose?
I mean, at my highest weight of 262 (October 2006), I definitely had over 100 pounds to go. I've set a goal of 150 for myself, but will evaluate further when I get closer. But I've already taken off 35 pounds or so... and now it's closer to 75 pounds left.
I'm aiming to hit below 200 by the end of the year. Well, more if I can, but I have plantar fasciitis and a bad shoulder, so the exercises I can do are somewhat limited.
The eating is starting to really get much better this year though.

At my highest (that I know of) I was 265. I got down to 195 (a snug size 16) on weight watchers. Then we opened a business, my oldest (6 at the time) was diagnosed with childhood depression and we took him out of school to homeschool him and my youngest (4 at the time) was diagnosed with autism all within three months of each other. So life happened and I returned to crap eating and stopped going to the gym. I also have fibromyaligia so it turned into a huge domino effect. Eating like crap made me have no energy to workout, not working out made me so tired I couldn't think about cooking, not cooking meant fast food, fast food gave me no energy to cook, etc.
Around Christmas this year I came to the ugly realization that I was fat again! At a doctor's appointment in Jan I weighed 245. I started running (that didn't last long) and working out at home again and just paid attention to what I was eating. I lost 11 pounds in the first month. I started NROL on February 20th. I have only lost 2 pounds but I have lost 4.5%BF and 7 1/4 inches and at 233 I am in a snug size 18. I am pretty sure I was much closer to 200 last time around when I was in an 18. So even though my weight loss isn't great I can't help but be happy with my progress.

Based on how my clothes fit at my last know weight, I think I was above 360 lbs. when I started TNT in January 08. Last week I weighed in at 313. So I'll claim 50 lbs lost, k? haha
