He said that I did herniate a disc and that he the way I've been getting better was a good sign. Continue light duty at work, do some PT and give it a few months. Gym is ok, he recommended machines for now and skip the free weights unless they're light - keep up my fitness but don't work on bulking. Swimming is good too. No snowboarding/skating/surfing though. Oh well, at least I can do some activity once again.
