As many of you know from my recent posts, I have been on a real tear lately, dropping bodyfat and getting my size and strength back with improvements in all my former injuries.
Well, probably the only part that hasn't really improved has been my neck. I still have a really stiff neck for the most part, some days worse than others, but still not so debilitating that I can't still work out. That was till this morning.
The workout was going just fine. I warmed up with Rufus complexes, did some warm-up sets on my sequence of exercises. I decided to do a follow superset for my arms. Just some DB curls and tri pushdowns. I started adding them a couple of months ago. I was curling 50 lb. DB's and on about the 5th rep I felt something pop on my neck, or more like in my right trap. I decided to quit and go on to my triceps. I couldn't even do a set of light pushdowns. I had extreme pain down my entire arm, like it was on fire, all shooting out of my neck. I stopped working out immediately, but it was too late. Damage has been done. I have been in pain all day... can't turn my head to the right or ESPECIALLY tilt it to the right. Actually it hurts on my right neck/trap even if I turn my head to the left, but not near as sharply.
I feel like I just need a really strong thumb jambed into my trap to release this thing. I am seriously considering checking airline tickets to Indianapolis! This is so discouraging.
