Things were going great. Had just finished 260x5x5 on oly squats, and I was picking up a weight to place on another bar, when "ping", something twinged in my lower back. Now, it's not un-bearable, so that's a start.

I don't know any terminology, but basically it's as low in my back as I can get. I can't squat down too far, and it's tough to bend over. It feels best if I curl up and pull my knees to my chin.

I'm guessing it was just a muscle pull and that if I take it easy, things should work themself out. I don't really want to spend money if I don't have to. (Poor college student)

My question is, is does it sound like something that could just work itself out? OR, should I go see a chiro or someone like that. I've honestly never had a back injury before, so I don't know what's best.

Thanks.

Most of these injuries are simply muscle spasms. Lots of painfree movement will help. You may also need to stretch your hip flexors based on your relief position.
