I got a co-worker (and friend) to work on me today. He gave me a great deal on a nice 1 1/2 hour massage. He worked on my left elbow and right shoulder in particular. He told me that my rotator cuffs felt fine, but that my fasciae (is that the name?) were very tight. It's the part between the pec and the shoulder. Anyhow, there wasn't a divet there when we started, and now there is. Apparently my tris were stiff as boards, and my pronators in my forearms (esp my right) were really bad.

Anyway, feeling nice and tired now. We'll see how this effects my lifting on Thursday. Hope it'll let me do DB presses without pain again!

Two places that were really painful were my pec right under the collar bone and whatever the hell it is that's deep inside the arm pit. After a couple of minutes on each, they loosened up, but man!

I was wondering who would ask that. Guess I shouldn't be surprised.

It was a guy, unfortunately.

I'm all for getting massages. I can feel the knots when my therapist works on them and it's cured many a headaches and stiffness for me. Sometimes I get up from the table and feel lighter...

drink lots of water afterwards!

That's why I asked.

I have never had a massage before so I would be interested in how it helps you.
