My sister recently spranded and tored ligaments in her right wrist. The sprand is pretty bad and she has no range of motion in that wrist. She is trying to get leaner and up until this point has done good but now she cant really do any exercises for 3 weeks. So my question is what kind of diet should she be doing on her recovery weeks and what kind of exercises do you think she would be able to do without hurting her wrist?

1) She can't do anything with her wrists and hands, but she can still pedal a bike, or walk, or run, or do any activities that don't involve her gripping something or repeatedly banging her wrist against something.

2) Her wrist injury, especially if there are torn ligaments involved will take far longer than 3 weeks to actually heal--though early rehab is a good idea. But her wrist will not be fully functional after 3 weeks, so it's probably a good idea to develop a plan of action for physical activity for a longer term than just 3 weeks.

3) The only thing she would really _need_ to modify would be her total intake--but ONLY if she is planning on being completely sedentary while her wrist recovers.
