Question

Bill or anybody else, have you read this book and do you recommend it? It's referenced on the active release.com website.

It sounds like a good book for the patient...

Especially good for me since the nearest ART practicitioner to LR is 200miles away.

My question would be: is it really possible to self-diagnose and self-treat conditions that ART is designed to fix? Some of the stuff my ART doc did was pretty detailed, so much so that I could tell what the hell he was doing, didn't feel much of anything, and only knew I was improving by my increases in strength and ROM, and by him saying I was improving. So nice to have several ARTs in town *duck*

When you're desparate, your desparate, but at a minimum, it would be interesting to learn something about it...if I can do something about it, even better...

I don't think this is a "learn to do ART on yourself kind of book."

Dr. Leahy (creator of ART) keeps things pretty protected to the extent that I am not supposed to teach it because I am not an approved instructor. Therefore, the book would most likely explain causes of repetitive strain injuries, how they can be treated by finding an ART guy/gal close by, and providing exercises to resolve some common injuries.

Worth the money? Only if you want to know why you're injured, perhaps.

Perhaps it's a good thing that you're not going to make it to the retreat this year. I just might "cool off" by this time next year.

Well, LR to CLT is a 13-hour drive, and I've got plenty of crash space. I'll set up an appointment or two if you want
