Bill:

I recently have been diagnosed with biceps tendonitis. I also had an MRI but I won't get the results until I see my doctor in a couple weeks. My orthopedic doctor seems to think it is just the tendonitis, so hopefully that turns out to be the case.

When I go back and start lifting hopefully in a few weeks, are there any exercises I should avoid? I am aware to stay away from any type of overhead pressing and also straight-bar bench press (will use dumbells going forward) - but is there anything else I should avoid?

I am going to pose this question to my doctor, but I have a feeling he doesn't know a whole lot about weight lifting or strength training (he's quite an old fellow).

Thanks as always for your help.
