Obviosly i know i should go to a doctor but here are my symptoms. If i see a penny and bend over to get it my lower back feels like it is severly stiffening up. Swinging a golf club is excruciating. The twisteing in the follow thruogh to be precise. I am 25 years old. Have always had lower back pain when i stand for long periods of time. Got real out of shape over past year and did lots of heavy lifting in a factory. The twisting makes me think it could be a disk. Mabye weak core?

When I ruptured a disc in my back several years ago the telltale sign was pain shooting up and down my leg. Your problem doesn't sound like that. There's been several posts on the subject of backpain and damaged discs in the past few months that contain advice on exercises for the low back that you might try.

However, if you're 25 years old and "have always had lower back pain" when you stand for a long time, you probably need to get that checked out with a serious doctor. That don't sound normal for someone your age. Hopefully it's something simple. I worked with a guy years ago that had a similar problem and it wound up being a problem with his feet. He got some (I'll butcher this spelling) orthodics in his shoes and was good to go.

Good luck. The one thing I know beyond any doubt is that back pain is one miserable experience.

Thanks for that. No shooting leg pain so that is a relief. Look if i cant play golf i might as well die. Eventually i ll make it to a doctor i suppose.

Where exactly does it hurt during which activities?
What makes it feel better? (example: laying on back with knees bent)
When you stand sideways to a mirror, does your belt line tilt forward or is it level?

If it's that bad, why are you waiting to go to the doc? If you've had it more than 2 weeks it will not go away by itself.

If you don't exercise consistently with the intent to improve your condition, you are getting weaker, but you probably have your fair share of structural adaptations that are getting in the way as well.

It hurts very deep inside my extreme lower back. Belt line is pretty straight. Nothing makes it feel better.

More details. When i bed down to pick something up it hurts diffrently than when i swing a golf club. Swinging a golf club gives a sharp pain in the same area as when i bend down. The bend down pain feels more like a muscle cramp. Also, when it gets painful from playing golf, it evetually gets to the point that even when i putt it hurts. The movement of standing straight up to bending knees ever so slightly and bending forword really hurts. Feels like its cramping up. Its like the more i hurt it in one episode, say a round of golf, the stiffer and sorer and more painful it becomes. By the 18 hole it really is bad.

I dont want to go to the doctor just for him to tell me its a pulled muscle. Trying to exhaust other resources first.

I don't understand what you mean here. How 'bout some direction like, "at the belt line center or right or left or 2 inches from this or that"

There is usually some position that reduces the pain. If NOTHING relieves it, you're wasting time. Go to the doc now (preferably someone with orthopedic experience).

There is no specific area. its at the belt line and perhaps a bit above and below. Its a wide area of pain to where i cant give u an exact location. When i say deep inside all i mean is the pain seems to be coming from very inside my body. Its not on the muslces of lower back that one can see on a super cut or skinny person. More inside. I hope all that makes sense.

My pain's at the level of the base of the Shoulder Blades, right on the Spinal Cords. Brutal.
