Hey Bill,
I want to start doing some isolation work in addition to my ongoing shoulder impingement rehab exercises. I know this is a broad question since you haven't evaluated my personal injury, but I was wondering if you thought it is ok to do some tricep/bicep work? As always, thanks for your assistance!
Sincerely,
Kevin

You should be able to do some, but you'll have to pay close attention to arm position relative to the body and stabilization. The more the arm is away from the side (foward or back) the more dynamic stability you'll need. Make sure you don't substitute upper trap for lower trap or excessively protract to stabilize the scapula.

If you limit the amount of weight you should be fine. Stick with DB's vs. BB and avoid overhead triceps exercises and things like incline curls.

Experiment carefully.

Bill
